Dr. David Galvez

Dr. David Galvez received his doctorate in Plant Physiology from the University of Alberta and is a seasoned expert in formulation and commercialization of botanical-based products using traditional, non-traditional and functional ethnobotanical plant extracts. Dr. Galvez has developed and launched commercial products in the dietary supplement market for pain relief, sleeplessness, relaxation, and anxiety management, both in capsule and drink formats. Currently, he is focused on the nanoemulsification of cannabinoids and terpenes, development of novel beverages, and securing research partnerships with academic institutions.

Formerly Dr. Galvez was a Senior Science Advisor at Vancouver based Abattis Bioceuticals Corp (CSE: ATT)

Dr. Anayansi C. Cohen-Fernandez

Dr. Anayansi Cohen-Fernandez is a biologist and senior reclamation specialist. She is Director of Coastal Raintree Consulting and sessional instructor at the SFU/BCIT MSc. in Ecological Restoration. Dr. Cohen-Fernandez specializes in land reclamation and restoration planning, including reclamation following mining, oil, gas, energy, urban, forestry and agricultural disturbances.

Dr. Cohen-Fernandez has over 10 years of experience developing anthropogenic soils for land reclamation using organic by-products including pulp mill and municipal biosolids, wood chips, animal manure, hay and straw. She has extensive experience designing and implementing research on anthropogenic soils, vegetation and microbiota, conducting soil physical and chemical tests, microbiological tests, working with analytical laboratories, and developing and conducting research for industrial partners. Dr. Cohen-Fernandez has over 10 years of environmental consulting and resource management experience. Her expertise includes reclamation research, environmental impact assessments, and R&D work to develop potting mixes for the Cannabis industry.

Dr. Amir M. Dehkhoda, Ph.D.

Dr. Dehkhoda holds a chemical engineering PhD and has extensive research and development experience in applied electrochemistry, material development, wastewater treatment, and catalysis.

 Dr. Dehkhoda, is currently an industrial postdoctoral fellow with a Richmond, BC based biotech company that focuses on characterization and optimization of wood-based nanomaterial for electrochemical energy storage and wastewater treatment applications. He has 7+ years of experience in development of value-added carbon material from biomass waste.

Dr. Marina Galdino, LL.B. in Law

Ms. Galdino has extensive senior legal and government experience in Brazil. She worked for four years as Senior Parliamentary Advisor for the President of the Legislative Assembly for the State of Amazon, where she developed an extensive network of politicians and government officials throughout Brazil. 

Marina holds a Diploma in Bachelor of Law (Brazil) and is a current member of the Order of Lawyers of Brazil, sectional Amazon, and a Diploma in Business Administration (Canada). She also has a Masters in Electoral Law(Brazil), Neuropsychology(Brazil), and Mediation and Conciliation(Brazil), and is currently taking a part-time Master in International Business Law from a university in Switzerland.

She looks forward to applying her knowledge, network and experience as EWS expands and grows its operations in Brazil and Latin America.
