Emergent Waste Solutions Inc. Signs an Agreement for Carbon Credits Management

Vancouver, B.C. June 21, 2021 – Emergent Waste Solutions Inc. (“EWS” or “the Company”), is pleased to announce that it has signed a services agreement with GECA Environnement.

GECA’s role is to facilitate the process, optimize profits and mitigate the risks involved in the generation of Carbon Credits while increasing visibility, supporting the development of EWS, and allowing the Company to focus on producing quality biochar and related products.

The final value of EWS generated Carbon Credits will depend on the Company maintaining the high quality of biochar it has already been producing, and on operating the plant to capacity. Also, the precise valuation of our Carbon Credits is dependent on The Company’s emissions and the carbon footprint of the feedstock supply-chain.

Based on historical data and current feedstock supply agreement, it is estimated that EWS could earn as much as $400,000 from Carbon Credit sales in each of the next two years. This amount exceeds the cost of operating the Ruby Creek Project by ~25%.

The services offered by GECA are not limited to Carbon Credits management and brokerage; additionally, EWS may benefit from:

  • Project development consulting

  • Market analysis and marketing services for Biochar and other products

  • Selection, comparison, and evaluation of competing or synergistic technologies

  • R&D for pyrolytic products

  • Referencing, which will enhance the credibility of EWS and provide strategic introductions

  • Technical documentation services

  • Training services that will help new human resources quickly come up to speed on biochar and related products

  • Other services, including grant application writing, carbon footprint calculations and emissions reporting

This agreement is a significant milestone for the Company as we anticipate it will lead to a secure revenue stream for the next two years, allowing us to continue developing markets for our manufactured products.
